GRIEVING FOR WHAT IS LOST
WISHING FOR WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN
This card is a card of isolation, grieving & mourning over what is lost, saying goodbye, letting go, wishing for what might have been, feeling deprived of love, and longing to be reunited with someone (or something) that is gone. What I like to point out in this card when it comes up in readings is that while there are 3 Cups spilt in front of the figure, and their focus is on them, there are still 2 Cups behind them that are there for them if they choose to turn around. All is not lost – there is still love available to them if they choose to see it, if they can turn their focus away from what they have lost. It is a powerful card of choice of focus.
